Who Wins in a Fight between You and LegalZoom?

Robert Shapiro 8x8

Who wins in a fight between you and LegalZoom?

It’s not a new fight.

It’s the fight between the local hardware store and Home Depot.

It’s the fight between the stores on Main Street and Walmart.

It’s the fight between the butcher and the supermarket.

Who wins? With rare exception, it’s not you—it’s them.

They’re well capitalized, well managed, and unburdened by tradition.

Don’t fight a battle you can’t win.

Either give up, or find a battle you can win.

I couldn’t agree more. For all the UPL lawsuits brought against LegalZoom, how many have they lost? To date, I believe the answer is zero – with the exception of the Janson action pending. Should we wager on who will win that one? The legal industry should stop focusing on keeping entrepreneurs off their turf and start focusing their efforts in delivering cost-effective, efficient solutions to consumers if they want to remain competitive. Evolve or become obsolete.
