Podcast: Decay is Crippling Your Law Practice

Entropy, a gradual breakdown of systems, is normal, but it’s the last thing you want happening in your practice. It creeps up on you when you’re growth-driven. Left unchecked, it’s going to cripple you.

Some areas of your firm are skyrocketing. New clients are pouring in, your firm is generating revenue 10 times greater than your marketing spend, and your team is excited to be working for you.

All the while, a lightbulb in the closet burns out. Your conference room runs out of tissues. Your associates don’t have pens and have to borrow them from clients signing their retainer agreements. Your database isn’t updated.  Before you know it, your firm is crippled by the little things that deter clients and frustrate your team.

Decay happens because your focus is always split. You need to keep growing while simultaneously fixing the breakdown. You should always be repairing and patching your foundation; otherwise, what you’re building on top is going to collapse.

Entropy will destroy you. Here’s how I stop the decay in my firm (and how you can too).
